5:45 pm - 7:45 pm
Join the Women’s Environmental Network for our first event of 2018. We will be hosting a screening of Food Justice, a co-production between Twin Cities PBS and Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health.
Many people lack access to healthier foods and Food Justice hopes to raise an awareness that all people deserve access to healthier foods independent of race, income, educational background or where one calls home.
Food Justice introduces you to people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. Food Justice will also introduce you to the shelters, meal programs, and food shelves working hard to provide healthier items for their guests and clients, but need your help making these healthier items more available.
A panel discussion will follow the film screening. Dinner will be catered by Afro Deli and is included in the event registration fee. The event will be in the Hagfors Center for Science, Business, and Religion building at Augsburg University.
Please RSVP by Monday February 19th.
The panel will include the following people:
- Allyson Green from Augsburg University Campus Kitchen
- Andrea Hill from The Food Group
- Sara Denzer from Community Emergency Service
