Annual Networking Event Featured Sponsor: Climate Generation
Based in Minnesota, Climate Generation empowers and connects with educators, youth, and communities to act on systems that perpetuate the climate crisis. Climate Generation views storytelling as a discovery tool and they advocate for individuals to share their experiences with climate change to friends, media, and policy makers. Personalizing and localizing climate change through stories can allow a global, complex problem to be relatable and tangible.
Climate Generation’s Talk Climate Gathering, which will be held from May 23-25, 2023, allows individuals to learn more about how climate storytelling can transform our lives and communities. Interactive activities, small group discussions, and writing will engage participants to discover their personal climate story and learn how to turn stories into change.
Alongside storytelling, another remarkable value of this organization can be seen in their passion to uplift and educate the next generation of climate activists. Climate Generation’s network of Young Environmental Activists, also known by the acronym YEA!, supports and mentors Minnesota youth. Current youth can grow into future leaders by participating in the youth-led annual Youth Climate Justice Summit, civic engagement, as well as have the opportunity to apply for funding to pursue personal or group climate action projects.
Women’s Environmental Network is beyond excited and grateful for Climate Generation’s support at this year’s Annual Event. To learn more about the amazing work of Climate
