Location: Lake Hiawatha (Meet outside Lake Hiawatha Recreation Center)
Come prepared: dress comfortably and wear appropriate footwear for outdoor activities. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen and a refillable water bottle. Litter pick-up supplies will be provided!

Clothing Swap
Tired of your old threads or need to freshen up your wardrobe for spring? Check out WEN's clothing swap on March 3 from 1-3 PM at the UMN Reuse Warehouse! Swaps are a great way to reuse items, save some dough, and meet your community. Clothing of all genders are welcome at this event, and you don’t need to bring an item to take an item.
So, how does this work? Clear out your closet's unwanted, gently-used, and clean clothing and take home pieces that are "new to you". Make sure to check out our list of accepted and not accepted items below before heading to the swap.

Accessories, such as purses and bags
Jewelry
Shoes
Note: Please make sure that all items you bring are clean and usable. High-value items in need of small repairs (broken zipper, missing button, etc.) are acceptable.

If you wouldn’t give it to a friend, please don’t bring it to the swap! Event staff reserve the right to refuse any items.

Hennepin Energy Recovery Center Tour
The Hennepin Energy Recovery Center in Minneapolis is part of Hennepin County's integrated waste management system. The center converts waste into energy through a combustion process. Join WEN MN for an inside look at the HERC and learn more about the technology of this operation.
SAFF PFAS Treatment System Tour
Surface Activated Foam Fractionation (SAFF) technology is a new cutting-edge method of separating PFAS from waster safely and quickly. As of last year, there were fewer than 20 SAFF systems in existence, and Minnesota was the first state government in the country to purchase and implement it. Last fall, the SAFF system was deployed at Tablyn Park in Lake Elmo for the first round of testing on groundwater and surface water.
Join WEN MN for an exciting in-person event at Tablyn Park to learn more about Minnesota's SAFF system! Our expert guides will teach us about the cutting-edge technology used to remove harmful PFAS contaminants from water sources.
