Clothing Swap

On March 3, 2024, WEN completed its first clothing swap at the Reuse Warehouse on the UMN campus. It was a huge success, with 64 participants and several WEN board members donating 588 lbs. of clothing, much of which was swapped among participants. Items leftover after the event were donated to the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota, helping those living with the challenges of seizures. 

Reuse events like this clothing swap are an important waste reduction tool. Not only does reuse keep quality items out of the landfill, it prevents the need to produce new clothing, saving valuable resources like water and energy. Swaps are also a fun way to meet others in your community and build your network, thus making it the perfect event for WEN and its members.
