Event Recap: Patch Me if You Can

On Wednesday, March 29th, the Women Environmental Network hosted the "Patch Me If You Can" mending workshop at ModernWell coworking space in Minneapolis. The event was aimed at promoting sustainable fashion and reducing waste in our community by teaching participants how to repair their own garments and reduce their environmental impact.

The workshop was a success, with 25 participants attending and learning valuable techniques from experienced menders. The event was facilitated by a team of volunteers, who generously donated their time and expertise to help participants with their mending projects and provide guidance and advice.

Throughout the evening, participants had the opportunity to bring items that needed repairing and learn valuable skills from experienced menders. The volunteers were incredibly patient, attentive, and passionate about sustainable fashion, making the experience a truly memorable one for everyone involved.

The workshop also provided a platform for environmentally conscious individuals to connect and discuss ways to reduce their carbon footprint. The participants shared their ideas and experiences, and engaged in thoughtful discussions about how to make more sustainable choices in their daily lives.

Overall, the "Patch Me If You Can" mending workshop was a wonderful event that showcased the importance of sustainable fashion and highlighted the impact that small changes can have on our environment. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the volunteers who made this event possible, as well as to all the participants who joined us for an evening of learning, sharing, and connecting.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to hosting more events like this in the future!
